2. Re-read pages 16, 17 & 18 in the new reader. Please review that "y" at the end of a word can say long i or long e. It says i when there is NO other vowel (fly, by). It says e when there is another vowel in the word (puppy, buddy).

I have decided to make things easier for everyone and to keep the supply list Ms. Todd had sent home in June. There is ONE CHANGE to the list. I will be using THREE notebooks instead of the two that she requested. The link to purchase these books is below. These are not needed the first day so no worries. Please send the three books in to be labeled as soon as you have them.

We will be having a snack daily. Please also send your child to school with an extra water for the day. On the first day, students should be sure to have a snack, drink, pencil, scissor, glue, and crayons!
If you have the tissues, wipes, paper towels, and construction paper for the first day, I will gladly collect these supplies. These may be sent in at any time (preferably the first full week).

Arrival is at 7:40 each morning. Students will be marked late after 8:00. Please try your best to be on time. I will walk the first grade students to the front door at 2:20. Please be patient as I learn everyone's faces at dismissal time.
