Requirements for National Junior Honor Society Grade 7 and 8
We proudly announce the Saint Patrick School Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. The NJHS is the nation’s premier organization, and it was established to recognize outstanding middle school students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. Membership to NJHS is extended to 7th and 8th graders who meet these rigorous criteria.
In order for your child to qualify as a candidate for the National Honor Society, candidates must meet the following requirements:
In addition to scholarship, four other areas will be considered. The areas of consideration are: Service, Leadership, Character and Citizenship. Service activities (10 hours in total, GPA must remain at 94% or higher (no grade lower than 88), fewer than 2 minor discipline infractions per year.
